The House Across the Lake by Riley Sager
Riley Sager’s The House Across the Lake hooked me from the start. I was immediately drawn to the protagonist, Casey Fletcher, a washed-up actress sent to her family’s secluded Vermont lake house to escape a very public downward spiral. Add a striking cover, a mix of Hollywood and mystery vibes, and some encouragement from a book club, and I couldn’t resist diving into this twisty thriller.
11/22/63 by Stephen King
Stephen King’s 11/22/63 is more than a time-travel story—it’s an unforgettable blend of history, suspense, and raw emotion. Jake’s journey to stop the JFK assassination immerses you in the nostalgia of the 1950s and ’60s while exploring love, sacrifice, and the ripple effects of our choices. With vivid world-building, authentic characters, and a tender, heart-wrenching romance, this book lingers long after the final page. A must-read for fans of historical fiction and sci-fi alike!
